4th July - Sannio Golf Society
Paesano Cup – Hagley Golf & Country Club Jul 2011 Once again back at our 'home course', Hagley Golf & Country Club for the 2nd tournament in the Sannio Golf Society calendar. Due to the timing of this event, it was a slightly reduced field that was treated to a golf course in top condition, this was due to 'Captains Day' being held 2 days earlier. Stableford scores ranged from 16 points to 35 points which showed how difficult we all found keeping the ball in play due to fast greens, challenging fairways and blistering heat. Congratulations to Martin 'Willie' Rushton securing his maiden victory with a score of 35 points off 24 handicap (which in turn will reduce to 22 ).
After a hard but very enjoyable day we were treated to great cuisine by HG&CC and as always very friendly hospitality. Sannio Golf Society are fortunate to have found a fantastic club with great staff and food to compliment and we look forward to returning yearly.
The lads 'ready to rumble'.

Will, putting a little more on his tee shot as he goes for the longest drive on the 14th.
No need for a bucket and spade for Cam as he chips out of the 'Monster's' greenside bunker.
Will, looking on anxiously, 'Lucio, have I won?' - 'Yes, Will'.
Will, winner of the 2011 Paesano Open.
Bruno, winner of 'nearest the pin'.
'Vogue'! Lucio strikes the pose as winner of the longest drive.
Tony receiving his last place prize. Let's hope these super soft ladies' balls will aid his game!

29th July 2011. RLB Golf Society. I on behalf of all of my colleagues at RLB would like to extend our thanks to all the staff at Hagley Golf and Country Club for making our golf day a resounding success. My collegues were very complementary about everything at the club (a fact that pleased me greatly as a member of H.G.&.C.C.) from the driving range which they thought was state of the art, the welcome when we arrived was fantastic. The staff behind the bar where efficient and friendly and the course was in excellent condition. Would you please pass on our thanks to all involved at the club and thank them for making our day. kind regards Errol Stewart

7th July 2011 N.E.C. Golf day
Please would you pass on my thanks to all staff at your wonderful golf course. It was truly a memorable day which I will never forget. I have played many private golf courses in the midlands and can honestly say its is the best I have played. Very challenging. All staff were polite and welcoming. Not many clubs could cope with the invasion of 75+ players. But you did. I hope to return soon.
