Our ladies golf section at Hagley Golf and Country Club consists of differing golf abilities and ages, and we are proud to run a varying programme to cater for all.

We have seven and five day members, and our competition team offer a variety of competitions from the monthly medals and stablefords to the club championship, trophies, greensomes and alliances.

There are also fun competitions and nine hole competitions, usually held in the winter so that ladies have a year round opportunity to play golf. 

While the section plays competitively in the Droitwich Inter League, Daily Mail and Australian Spoons, we also play several friendly matches against local clubs each year, which enables all standards to play and enjoy our mutual love of the game.

Four Opens are run during the year, where visitors are given a warm Hagley welcome.  We start with our Ladies Three Ball Alliance in June, closely followed in July by our Ladies AM/AM.  Then August see's our Mixed Open and we end in September with a nine hole competition followed by a golf sale.

Our social team organise many events at the clubhouse, some of which contribute to our Lady Captains chosen charity, which this year is Mary Stevens Hospice.  We have very popular Christmas and Presentation Lunches alongside strawberry teas, talks and quizzes.

Away from the clubhouse we have an annual Lady Captains Away Day and most years, see us going to the theatre and lunches and afternoon teas.

I feel justly proud of our golf course, driving range and clubhouse, and of the ladies who make up my committee and section.
