Saturday January28th, we entertained a talented team from Druids Heath in the first round of the " MAIL ON SUNDAY K.O."
Andy Daw came out of winter hibernation to claim a comfortable 4 & 3 victory. Steve Carpenter cruised to a 7 & 6 victory. This being a handicap competition allowed us to play two of our senior golfers Bryan Pearson and Bob Cook. Bryan went down 4 & 3 but acquitted himself very well. Bob had a fine scalp by beating his opponent, who is an assistant at the Belfry and who will be turning " pro " later this year 3 & 2, well done Bob. And Andy Price won a tight match 3 & 2. So HAGLEY ran out 4 - 1 winners.
Once again the team selected represented our club in a grand manor, after the match I received nothing but compliments about our players and our course, thank you and well done lads
